Rubbayat de Mozzafar Esfarzari

N° 1

(trad PM.Filippi)

Mozzafar Esfarzari’s rubbayat

N° 1
Pour me some wine, my friend. When the wine is drunk,
the glass broken, and friendship dead, spread a blanket on me,
for the night is frozen in the wide desert.

N° 55
Fate
Neither good nor evil were created by man.
They were already there in a pouch
Man picked up good and evil in the pouch
And there they are still.

N° 96
The moment I say present, present is gone away
The present is a breath, a sigh, a knotted veil
But how can I tie the future and the past?
I say present, and the veil is sawn and the veil is torn.

(trad F.Beretti)
